Have you heard about the missing bees?? What are the ramifications of losing our honeybees.
Here is a NY Times article that asks the question. Is it time to stock up on honey or everything?

Welcome to the blogspot for Hastings Ranch.Net. I invite you to post any comments or topics that are important to you. Along with my lending partner, Sandi Cochran of Direct Home Finance we are sponsoring the neighborhood website for all three of the Hastings Ranch neighborhoods, Hastings Heights, Upper Hasting Ranch and of course Lower Hastings Ranch. I hope you see the value of staying in touch with your neighbors and adding to the rich cultural diversity of the Pasadena area. In these trying times of philosophical angst and natural hazards it only makes sense to know what is going on around you and your family. Over the next few months Sandi and I will be visiting your street with information about what the website has to offer and we 'll be responding to your blog posts all along the way. I know this may be new to many of you but once the conversation gets started it gets interesting and and infomative, so visit often and don't be afraid to speak your mind. We really do want to know what is important to you.

I welcome one and all to post what's on your mind. Getting to know your neighbors will add richness tro our lives. I'm a local Realtor and have lived in the Pasadena/ Altadena area for over 35 years. I love these foothills and the slice of American life that we enjoy here. We are very diverse and that keeps it interesting and wonderful because of the quality of our neighbors. The good ones and the great ones are all around us if we just get the chance to get to know them. Without doubt our world is changing faster then it ever has and I think that makes it even more important to stay informed and share our local knowledge and history as much as we can. The inevitable natural calamities will come sooner or later and the better we know our communities the faster we will recover. The neighborhoods of last century are difficult to create in present day. If we use our non-real-time technology to stay in touch we can share information, get to know each other and do it in a way that fits our schedules and our priorities. I hope you will join me with whatever is on your mind.
